the brief.
Create a new brand identity that reflects the current nature of Apostle Whey Cheese - a genuine, paddock to plate, boutique store selling handcrafted, gourmet cheeses and products. Apply to marketing materials to attract customers after a decline in tourism as a result of Covid-19.
the resolution.
The brand was renamed Bensons Cheese to honour its family heritage, with the slogan “The Crafted Whey” reflecting both process and journey. A hand-drawn logo inspired by the shape of the cheese reinforces the focus on craftsmanship, while warm rust, beige, and blue tones paired with halftone imagery create a boutique, nostalgic feel.




This project brings together heritage storytelling and thoughtful design to create a brand that feels both authentic and elevated. From naming through to visual identity, every element works cohesively to position Bensons Cheese as a distinctive, craft-led brand with strong shelf presence and lasting appeal.
